Amazing sapphires have been found from our bags and buckets of wash, maybe you will be as lucky. We will demonstrate how to wash the gravel and how to recognise the sapphires and zircons. Some people are very lucky and some just find sapphire suitable for souvenirs. All in all it is a great deal of fun and it is so exciting when you find your sapphires. If you find sapphires that can be faceted it is called “a cutter” this means it can be cut and set into a piece of jewellery.
